Basic poison is a poison meant to hurt people, made from a particular combination of plants. It is not fancy, or hard to come by for anyone who brews poisons, and Hazel could make it herself.1 It smells faintly sweet.1
Description
Properties
As a Bonus Action, a vial of basic poison can coat one weapon or up to three pieces of ammunition. A creature that takes Piercing or Slashing damage from the poisoned weapon or ammunition takes an extra 1d4 Poison damage. Once applied, the poison keeps its potency for 1 minute or until its damage is dealt, whichever comes first.2
History
Session 15
Daisy’s blades and crossbow bolts were poisoned when she attacked Rhysaene and Iva on the night of 1 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF, and Hazel found the poison on her sword to be a fairly basic one.1 The next day Hazel found a vial of it in the grass under a tree where Daisy had stopped to rest, and Luma identified it.1 It would be worth a good deal to the right buyer, but it is seen as a nefarious thing, and could not be sold to a general store. Luma kept it, and could dilute it with her alchemist’s supplies into rat poison, which would be easier to sell and worth less.1
