Cassia Brightshield is a Light-Warden of the Order of the Lantern who trains and evaluates recruits.1

Biography

Session 1

Brightshield assigned Temerity to shadow Iva while the two handed out bells for the Bell Hunt at the Festival of Bells.1

Session 4

Temerity brought her a note from Julia Valerius after Miles Quickstep was handed over. She commended Temerity, and offered to arrange a meeting with Rhea Larnas about Temerity becoming a Dragoon.2

Session 5

On the morning of 26 Coldrise, 1714 PSF, Cassia told Temerity that her position was up in the air. Lia Amakiir of the Dragoons of Bahamut had asked for Temerity’s training to be transferred to the Dragoons, and until the paperwork was done Temerity had nothing to do.3

Session 9

Brightshield, who is in charge of the Light Warden recruits, gave Temerity’s old bunk at the barracks to a new recruit on 29 Coldrise, 1714 PSF.4

Session 14

Cassia addressed the Dragoon candidates in the training yard before sunrise on 1 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF. Some had come from the Order of the Lantern and some by other paths, she said, and all of them strove to be Dragoons of Bahamut, the Order’s first and last defense against the Sorrow.5 She formally handed them over to Lia Amakiir, and left at once.5
