David Kemble works his family’s farm in Crick's Bend and is a friend of Temerity’s.1

Session 5
Temerity found him in the barn seeing to the animals and opened with the deer he had failed to shoot. “I missed one deer one time and you won’t leave it alone, are you, Tem? You ain’t much better with a bow than I am,” he said, and offered to prove it by pointing at the hole in the back of the house.1
He hugged her and said he understood why she had left when he was out hunting: she had finally had her moment, and knew she had to go.1 He told her his brother Trever was doing well, working the river with Dervan and perhaps making a career of it, and that she could not leave town without speaking to Juniper Kemble.1 He offered the party dinner at the farm on their way back to Argentum.1
Session 8
At dinner on 28 Coldrise, 1714 PSF, David confirmed that the family had known for years about Temerity coming back to life: “Yeah, our Tem had a higher calling. Called to serve the flame like no one ever before.”2 He asked Iva what she did for a living, and when she said she had just come off a farm and was heading to the city for the first time, he called it real brave of her.2 Iva winked at him on her way out.2
