A giant spider is a spider large enough to hunt prey much bigger than flies.12

Behavior

Giant spiders are ambush predators and prefer the dark. They are found in the forests of the Silver Vale, but they are rare there, and they are not really native to it. They come from great subterranean depths.1 Hazel has probably seen one or two in the forest, and can take the shape of one bigger than her arms can span.1

History

Session 10

In Vault 15 of the sealed Underforge Vaults under Argentum, the party found old strands of spiderweb hanging from a pillar and running up to the ceiling, unscorched in a room where everything else was burned. There was more web down the tunnel dug through the rock nearby. They saw no spiders.1
