Douglas Fletcher, called Old Doug in Silverthorn, farmed near the village with his wife Margaret Fletcher.1 The party concluded that he was the man they found in the forest north of the Sisters' farm, who turned Sorrowsworn in front of them and was killed.1
Biography
Session 6
A farmer on the road north told the party that a man who had moved out of Crick's Bend two years earlier to farm near Silverthorn had gone missing two days before, and that his wife was worried.2 That night the party found three Light Wardens in a clearing standing over a pale, gaunt man in a straw hat. He told them his wife did not love him any more, that he had grown sad and lonely, and that they were the first people he had seen in days, and then he turned.2
Session 7
The party and the Wardens killed the Sorrowsworn. Petra Ashford pointed at the charred body and told the party that it had been a person.3 Hazel burned what was left in silver moonfire.3
Session 8
An old farmer in Silverthorn asked Hazel whether she had seen Old Doug, since Margaret had been looking for him for a couple of days.1 The party connected him to the Sorrowsworn, and sent his widow a letter under a forged Order of the Lantern seal saying that Douglas Fletcher had been found dead in the woods not far from the village and purified on the spot because of his wounds.1
Session 9
Iva briefly chose Fletcher as the surname for her forged birth certificate, and dropped it when reminded that it had been Douglas’s.4
