The Inquisition is one of the three sub-orders of the Order of the Lantern in Argentum, under High Inquisitor Westra Saelis. Apart from the Dragoons of Bahamut, it is the most dangerous martial arm of the Order.1
Organization
The Inquisition has two roles, both of which require the blessing of the Silver Flame. Its Censors investigate rogue mages, hunting down illegal magic users and bringing them in.1 The Inquisition is trained to deal with people using magical disguises.2 Its Purifiers hunt creatures and people corrupted by the Sorrow. Devyn Marsh, a Light Warden, put the division plainly: Light Wardens can handle the creatures, and a person who turns is what a Purifier is for.3
Regalia
The emblem of the Censors is a palm with the mote of fire of the Silver Flame inside it. Censors wear it on their armor, and carry longswords, shields and silver lanterns.1
Activities
Censors guard the basement of the Silver Archives, where a passage leads down to sealed sections of the Underforge Vaults.1 They usually work in the city, and many are charged with guarding important institutions.4

Session 2
High Inquisitor Westra Saelis took over the investigation into the Everfire Lamp explosion and interviewed the party.5
Session 11
On the Vigil of Remembrance, 1714 PSF, the party passed two Censors in full plate guarding a door in the basement of the Silver Archives. Luma and Temerity recognized their emblem.1 A third Censor, a woman, checked Luma’s work order and key before unlocking the door to the vaults. “Flame knows why,” she said of the survey.1 As Rhysaene passed, she stopped her, and her eyes flashed silver. “Oh. All right, you can go.”1
Session 14
By 1 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF, High Inquisitor Westra Saelis had taken the Tarnar Turnstone that the Stone Shields had held.2
Session 16
The Censor Marigold guarded the door of the Bureau of Infrastructure & Mapping on 3 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF, while Vaestra Wenn and Thaddeus Marwin met with its head.4
